Many a mile to go tonight, before I reach the town-o!

You know, I feel like I blog about really stupid stuff that no one cares about. Like origami turkeys. And I'm sorry if you agree with me. I don't mean to be dull or uninteresting. Honest! Quite the opposite, actually. I try to be as interesting as possible.

Well, in real life, I do. I save all my good stories for when I'm actually talking to you. I pride myself on my conversation skills, filled with thougthful-thoughts and funny stories and wit. But my blog? Sorry. That gets all the random, dead, half-formed thoughts that aren't going anywhere. I just need them out of my head.

Then why don't I write those dumb and pointless thoughts in my journal, instead of posting them on cyberspace for all to use against me? Well... I never really write, make, or create anything unless I know other people will see them. It just seems so pointless to fabricate something that will never see the light of day. When I create anything, I always try and imagine how I'm going to show off the results, and what people will think. It helps me try a lot harder, and inspires me to do it more.

So I'm sorry if you find my blog a boring, doldrum place, but all these words need to go SOMEWHERE that you'll see them. This happens to be the perfect outlet.

In closing, here's some Percabeth. They're way more interesting than any of my posts.

Beautifully brought to life by burdge-bug, NOT ME. Let me say that again, I DID NOT MAKE THIS.

Got it? Good. ;)

Oh, and if you haven't read Percy Jackson and the Olympians, then please do. You won't be disappointed.

  2. See that big thing around his ankles? He's making a bubble for them, dear. THAT's how they breathe. (He's the son of Poseidon. He can DO that.)
And don't be hatin' on this picture. I love it!

I'm glad I at least amuse someone on here... :)

  6. Nina, I haven't blogged in a while, and am amazed at how much you've written!!! You are such a talented writer and illustrator... and you rock a pair of patterned tights. I'm going to have to get a pair of those, but obviously won't be able to carry them off as well. This one of the many reasons why I love YW. I am SO cutting edge now!!!- Sis Fitz

  10. Ah. I love Percabeth. So much. Cutest picture, cutest scene EVER. I can't WAIT for the next book. It's called the Son of Neptune. I hope that means it's about Percy... :)
