Work's gonna fix what don't work anymore

So I'm taking a drawing class online... Pretty much the only thing I do is draw random object I see around me. At first I hated it, due to my lack of ability and the boredom it caused to draw things with no emotion---then I realized that drawing stuff you actually see is pretty much the only way to become good at drawing. Drawing from memory will not take you very far in life, trust me.

Plus, it's doodling during school hours that is totally justifiable. I've seriously done this class and thought "Okay, I should stop drawing and do school... wait! I AM doing school! YES!"

It doesn't get better than that, guys. ;)

Reactions to Doctor Who: Season 3

Episode 0 (Christmas special?): I cried during half this episode. And not because the episode was sad at all. Because it wasn't. It was actually really funny and upbeat. (Donna is hilarious) But it was so hard to watch an episode without-- well, I don't wanna spoil it for those who don't know. But it was SO HARD.

Episode 1: Hmmm so this is Martha. I haven't heard very many good things about you. And I don't know why, because you're kinda cool. Not as cool as everyone else, but I do respect you... And I can understand why you're so attracted to David Tennant because, really, who isn't? ;)

Episode 2: This episode is AMAZING. If only because David Tennant says that he cried while reading the seventh Harry Potter book. (which, when they made this episode, HP7 wasn't even out yet) And the other HP references make this episode forever one of my favorites.

Episode 3: The more I watch this show, the more I appreciate the ideas that the writers are putting into this. It really is just like a well-written novel, with all the elements a novel would have. I would totally read a book that had this episode as the main idea for the plot. :)

Episode 4/5: THESE ONE-SHOT CHARACTERS ARE GENIUS. I wish with all my heart that they would stay for more than these two episodes. Tallulah is my favorite, like ever. And I love Laszlo, Solomon, and Frank. Can I just keep all these characters at my house forever? Please?

Episode 6: Poor Martha's family... They have enough to deal with without all this alien interference in their lives. :P

Episode 7: "I reckon you'll find someone worth believing in..." "I think I already did."

I think I will ship Martha/Riley Vashtee forever. They are perfect. Even if he's just a one-shot.

The rest of this episode is kind of scary. And stressful. And sweaty. :P

Episode 8/9: WOAH NELLY. Stop breaking my heart and making me cry please. (this show has way too much power over my emotions... like WAY too much.)

Episode 10: AHHHHHHH OH MY GOSH AHHHHH SO SCARY!!!!!

But anyways, Sally Sparrow, I kind of love you. Why do I keep falling in love with these one-shots? Oh, and THIS. :)

Episode 11: Oooh this episode. THIS EPISODE. Sigh... I mean, really. Could the professor be any more suspicious? I totally knew what was really happening. (and when I started watching this, I did NOT know it was the first part of the season finale. How dare DW do this to me! I couldn't move for so long.)

Episode 12: So... The Master. I feel like this guy has been done before. He's the most deranged, unpredictable bad guy around, but somehow that makes him more predictable. And he reminds me of the bad guy from Sherlock. A LOT. (you know, Steven Moffat worked on both Sherlock and DW, which might explain the similarities I see between the two bad guys...)

Episode 13: I don't know how I feel about this. I like it, but I don't. But I'm confused. But Martha and.... I just don't know... This wasn't the season finale I expected.

ON TO SEASON 4! ALLONS-Y!

Reactions to Doctor Who: Season 2

Episode 1: Woahhhh David Tennant. You just got here. How do you already have sooooo much chemistry with Rose? I mean, really. You two are gonna blow up my computer.

Lol, this episode has way too many inside jokes in it...

Episode 2: Werewolves are scary. D: but again, so many inside jokes... I need a friend to share these jokes with.

Episode 3: Sarah Jane what? Who is this woman? Mickey, you amuse me. Just saying.

Episode 4: Who do you think you are, Princess? LAY OFF MAH DOCTAH. Like, seriously. Get away. But I love the era. And I love this episode.

Episode 5: Classic Doctor Who... Alternate Dimension. Cyber Men. I love this.

Episode 6: ...Mickey. :(

Episode 7: You know, I would REALLY REALLY freak out if the TV started talking to me... I'm so glad this is all fictional.

Episode 8/9: I wish this episode didn't dabble where it did. It's SO sad. But seriously, Doctor/Rose, could you be any more in love? I don't think so.

Episode 10: This episode is a complete. joke. A funny joke, but still. Filler much? Oh well, I love it.

Episode 11: I would die of happiness if in the actual 2012 Olympics David Tennant just came up, stole the torch and was like "GO JOIN YOUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS." Yesssss...

Episode 12: You know, usually when the bad guys come out swinging, I have confidence that The Doctor will set everything right...but this episode I got really worried. I mean, Daleks, Cyber Men, AND all these holes in the universe? Like, woah.

Episode 13: ...I have never cried so hard over a TV show in my life.... None of this is okay. Killing everyone would have been happier. Then at least I wouldn't have had to seen the suffering... *is emo*

After that last episode, I proceeded to cry/scream into a pillow/throw pillow across the room until it ripped (no really, it did)/read depressingly appropriate poetry.

I keep reminding myself that none of it's real but it doesn't help... How will I go on?

Reactions to Doctor Who: Season 1

So I was sick last Saturday. What do you generally do when you're sick? I don't know about you, but I have looooong marathons by myself. Last Saturday, I dedicated my marathon to Doctor Who. My thoughts, episode by episode below:

Episode 1. Cheesy plastic dummies coming to life...annoying mother...mysterious man...mmmkay. Why am I watching this...?

Episode 2. Okay, this is a lot better without Mrs. Tyler. But still, what's with all the rubber aliens? I don't know about this...

Episode 3. Did you just write Charles Dickens into this episode? I have so much more respect for this now. And did THIS just happen? I'm really beginning to get into this.

Episode 4/5. What are these Slitheen things? I don't like em. I generally don't like big rubber aliens with gas problems. Sigh... but hey, I'm still liking the doctor. This could be worse, I guess.

Episode 6. WOAH WOAH WOAH where did all this SUPER EPIC backstory come from? I wasn't expecting that at all. Okay...I think I really really like this. (obsession officially begins)

Episode 7. Ooooh this is mysterious. (ADAM WHAT ARE YOU DOING GO AWAY) Yessssss thank you Doctor. I love you. :)

Episode 8. Rose Tyler, I hope you know that I HATE your mom... But other than that, I am quite enjoying this episode. Rose, you and the Doctor are so good together it kills me to watch you two interact...

Episode 9. ...this is scary. 1940's...How...? WAIT, what's happening, Nancy? I know you know something!

Episode 10. I am so scared!! D: Wait, you mean.... YAY!!!! Oh my gosh, "Why do you just assume that I can't dance?" hahahah I love this so much. I really do. :)

Episode 11. Oh great... Slitheens again... Wait, you made the Slitheens NOT cheesy? How'd you do that? I LOVE THIS SHOW. Doctor... everything you do... Hahahaha

Episode 12. WHAT IS GOING ON??!!?? I AM SO DISTRESSED RIGHT NOW (hunger games what?!?) COME ON, YOU CAN SAVE HER!!! Ending speech = ADORABLE. I love you, Doctor.

Episode 13. *hyperventilating* "I think you need a doctor..." *jaw drops, eyes roll back, falls over*

I think it's pretty obvious that I like this show A LOT. (that season finale....) What you're probably wondering is if I'd recommend it to you.

Well, I honestly think it depends on your taste. I know people who would hate it (or do hate it) and I know people who might get really into it, like me.

If you think YOU'd like aliens, time travel, British humor, and adorable relationships between the main characters, then go ahead and become obsessed with me!!

My favorite drawing out of the bunch, it's Lady Persephone from Upstairs Downstairs (2010). I recommend you watch it.

Persie's character was SUCH a jerk, but she had the most gorgeous wardrobe I had ever seen in any movie or TV show. The furs and silks and lipstick... *drool*

P.S. I don't endorse smoking. If you smoke, you'll end up a fascist jerk, like Persie. Plus, your smoke won't be all curly like hers is... (Automatically no longer worth it)
