Hello, is it me you're lookin' for?

I really feel like I should name my blog "What I'm Currently Obsessed With" because I've noticed that this is pretty much ALL that I blog about. (it'd probably make more sense than what I have now, which is an obscure Hercules quote... :D)

There's a cycle to my obsessions, too. It's like this:

1. I read or watch something and become obsessed and draw fanart and reference it in ordinary conversation, etc.
2. After about a month of step 1, maybe more, my obsession wanes a little bit.
3. It's replaced with a new obsession, and I repeat step 1 with said new obsession.
4. I remember my old obsessions, miss them, and read or watch them again and become obsessed with them again.
5. Then it goes back to step 1 again.

That's....pretty much my entire life. :P

Well, anyways, what I'm currently obsessed with is watching BBC miniseries on Youtube. I've been reading them in book form, too. I just finished Jane Eyre... seriously one of the most beautiful books I've ever read. It was uh. maize. aang.... Please read it. :)

But yeah, if you guys haven't seen any of these, then you should definitely click on the links RIGHT NOW. Otherwise we can no longer be friends.... just so you know

~North and South~ is an absolute classic...

~Little Dorrit~ is just as classic as North and South...

~Emma~ This might just be better than the book. (and I NEVER say that)

~Jane Eyre~ A little overdramatic at first, but mostly is a fantastic representation of the book.

~Under the Greenwood Tree~ One of my personal favorites that no one's heard of. :P

~Wives and Daughters~ simply adorable.

~Daniel Deronda~ is pretty good.

~Our Mutual Friend~ has one of the most terrifying bad guys I've ever seen EVER. D: And is kinda confusing. But is wonderful besides that.

~Lark Rise to Candleford~ This is actually a television show. And the whole first season is kinda rough. But somehow addictive, and then it gets really good. Just give it a chance, okay?

And here are a few that I haven't seen yet, but fully intend upon watching in the near future.

And that's not even half of it.... I'm discovering new ones every day. O_o
And I couldn't find Pride and Prejudice (the one with Colin Firth). But everyone should already have seen it, so we should be good. ;)

  2. I hope you are referring to the Emma I linked in my post, because the one with Gwyneth Paltrow is not nearly as good. :P

  3. Aren't you so glad you read Jane Eyre?
The new movie is a big letdown, but the book is just SO good!
I second ALL of your recommendations (except Under the Greenwood Tree, which I still haven't seen) and agree that Mr. Headstone is TERRIFYING!!!! Every movie he's in I find myself unable to watch. (Water Horse is one of those.) I think his smile is the creepiest.

  4. Oh, and FYI, Mr. Headstone is in Sense and Sensibility. That's why I just watch the one with Alan Rickman.
